Dr. Aaron Bowman
Hematologist/Oncologist

Dr. Aaron Bowman has been practicing hematology and oncology in the Reno community since 2008. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Botany from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah and his Doctor of Medicine degree graduating Cum Laude from The Ohio State University, in Columbus, Ohio. He then completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah. He went on to finish a fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at the University Of Utah’s Huntsman Cancer Institute.

During his medical training he was awarded Dean’s Medical Honors while in medical school and later inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha, the National Medical Honors Society. In residency he won the Internal Medical Grand Rounds Presentation award. He has participated in a number of research projects and clinical trials through his training. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Medical Association. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Oncology. He has served in various leadership positions in the area’s local hospitals and regularly attends community hospital tumor board meetings, to help further the region’s cancer care. Dr. Bowman has been active in community service. He served as a full-time church missionary for two years, prior to entering his medical training. He has volunteered as a “Big Brother” with Children’s Services. He currently continues to work with the Boy Scouts of America in a variety of positions, and is quite proud of being an Eagle Scout himself.

Dr. Bowman is married and has 3 children. He enjoys running, camping, hiking, kayaking, fishing, and other outdoor activities with his family.
