Dr. Alexander Lin

Alexander Justin Lin, MD, is a board-certified radiation oncologist at Cancer Care's new cancer treatment center. Dr. Lin earned his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, Nebraska. He received both his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering and his medical doctorate from the University of California in Irvine, California. He completed his internship in internal medicine at the University of California and his residency in radiation oncology at the Alvin J. Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri.

Before relocating to Reno to be closer to family, Dr. Lin was involved in teaching residents and conducting clinical research at the Siteman Cancer Center as an assistant professor specializing in gynecologic, head, and neck cancers. Dr. Lin has been awarded numerous honors, has authored articles in over 40 peer-reviewed publications, and is an ad hoc reviewer for the International Journal of Radiation Oncology, Biology, and Physics. His clinical philosophy is to care for every patient as if he were treating his own family member.

In his spare time, he enjoys exploring trails with his wife and three children, chamber music, reading biographies, and learning about new cultures through his travels.
