Dr. Colt Williams

Dr. Williams joined Cancer Care Specialists in 2023. As part of the BS-MD Accelerated Medical Program at the University of Nevada, Reno, Dr. Williams received a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 2013. He matriculated to medical school at the University of Nevada Reno School of Medicine and received his Doctor of Medicine degree in 2017. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Colorado Denver in 2020 and went on to complete dual fellowships in Hematology/Oncology and Biomedical Ethics at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN in 2023. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Oncology.

For Dr. Williams, the needs of the patient always come first. “I will never forget I am treating a mother, a father, a sister, a brother, a child— my patients are far more than just their disease.” He is determined to bring cutting edge therapies to Cancer Care Specialists through his understanding of personalized genetic testing and his experience in designing clinical trials and managing patients on experimental therapies.

Dr. Williams is married and has two children. He enjoys skiing, backpacking, fishing, and trying new recipes in the kitchen. He is supremely grateful to be able to give back to the Northern Nevada community that was the foundation of his training.
