Diagnostic radiology allows providers to diagnose conditions, monitor treatment, and screen for a variety of health concerns. Cancer Care Specialists utilizes a multidisciplinary approach and cutting-edge technology to produce detailed and accurate images, ensuring findings are interpreted in the context of each patient's individual medical history and treatment plan.

CT Scan

A CT scan uses multiple x-ray beams to capture detailed images of the inside of a patient’s body from multiple angles. This practice allows healthcare providers to better understand your diagnosis, as well as to decide on the best treatment plan for you.

PET Scan

A PET scan detects cancer cells within the body and then turns that data into images your healthcare provider can use to guide your treatment plan. Cancer Care Specialists is currently the only facility in Nevada to offer advanced PSMA PET and DOTATATE PET scans, which provide further insight in this process.

Linear Accelerator

A linear accelerator (LINAC) is a machine used for radiation therapy on patients. It works by delivering targeted, high energy x-rays that conform to the unique shape of a tumor in order to destroy cancer cells while still protecting the normal tissue surrounding it.
